Effects not applying

Hi, I'm using MEP 2017 and having a problem with effects. I apply effects and they dont show in the clip. They do show in the "effects overview" and they show in the titlebar of the clip. but the "look" of the clip doesn't change at all. The "effect" is not really being applied. I have looked everywhere for a setting but cant find anything. Mysystem: Core i7, 16 GB ram, Radeon 7800 2 GB video. Appreciate your help. Bob

Hi Bob,

Check to see if the if the lightning button, lower right of the preview is on (blue). If so, turn it off by clicking on it. Shortcut is P. If it is on, you will not see the effects in the Preview monitor.

Thanks, I see the little blue box there with the lightning bolt, tooltip says "enable smooth playback." Maybe not the right one. Anyway, it made no difference. Bob

Hi Bob

Right click the box with the lightening symbol lower right of the preview monitor and see if Disable effects is checked - if so then uncheck it
