I purchased VEGAS movie studio 14 but it says that the serial number is invalid when i try to add it in movie edit pro .
I use win 10, Intel core i5 5200U processor, 8GB RAM, Intel HD 5500 grpahics+Nvididia geforce GTX940m graphics.

These are two different programs, each having their own serial numbers, in other words - you cannot use a Vegas Movie Studio serial number for Movie Edit Pro or vice versa.
If you have revcently purchased Vegas Movie Studio in error and meant to buy Movie Edit Pro then I would suggest you email sales [at] magix.com and ask them.
