For which product(s)? If Vegas, you're in the wrong forum.

If you created an account with Magix, then it will still be there (Magix.com) unless you are using a different email address (username).

For support, click on the Support button at the top of the page and follow along until you get to the actual form to create a ticket. Look to see what is under each page as your problem may already be listed. Keep going to the bottom of the web page to get to Support.

Hi Ray,

Without the Magix software being registered to an account, I doubt that the software would activate. The serial number is linked to an account. When connected to the internet, the software phones home once per month to check that it is valid.

Hi John.

I was just pointing out that raising a ticket requires an account. Without an account it is difficult to contact Magix at all. Also although I can't fine the link at present I noticed a few day ago some of the email addresses that did work are either missing or have changed. The one I put in the reply above is still present on the magix website.

The website seems to be in a state of being updated at present with various links no longer working.

Error code -24 means the serial number has already been registered to another email address.

This would suggest you have created a new account and not used the one the software was originally registered with

Try logging in to your account at magix.com using the email address and password you used to register the program when you first installed it. - the My Account icon is top right of the home page.

In My Products you will find you registered software selecting Show more details will show the registered computers and allow you de-activate them.

I'm thinking that i must have fat fingered my email when i first signed up. the product is for video pro x.
i can't navigate this site to find this form you speak of, basically i endup at the artile "How to solve error code "-24" (magix.info)" and from there there is no way to just contact support. the service center link just takes me to my account details and the "ask support" button just goes to more articles that only lead me in a circle to more articles, as far as i can tell there is no way to open a ticket through this method.

that's the problem im running in to. apparently i am unable to remember the account info for however i registered the software originally. if i could get with a support admin then maybe they could just deactivate the PC for me or help me get back on the right account that the software is registered to.

Yes, and go to the bottom of each, click on Support. You will be asked for a search term. This will become the subject of the ticket. Keep going, following the instructions until you get to the screen that says Send a Support Request.

There is even a pictorial tutorial under Support showing exactly what I have described. It takes me about 20 seconds to get to the form.

Did you change email addresses or something?

Did you log in to My Account in Magix.com (button is at the top right of the web site) and go to My Products? VPX should be on the list.
