Error message.

Hi and welcome to the user to user forums.

I have never encountered such a warning message. I can find no reference to it anywhere on the web.

It could refer to a corrupt file.

Two questions.

Where did the file come from? IE, what made it?

Where on your system is the file stored? Is it on an external device or on a server?

Can you post a screen shot of the error message - I suspect that there is a typo in the above and it should read

In which case there may be an issue with the audio track in the video clip, or your Windows installation.

Download and install MediaInfo, analyse the video clip and post the results from the Text view in MediaInfo.

What is your computer specification and program version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full.

Thanks John for responding, you are right! The error is: Failed to WaveOutWrite.

the computer is a Dell Gamming laptop G5 SE with a AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with a Radeon RX graphics card, Windows 10 Pro 64 bit and 32 GB RAM.

The problem is with any video that I try to open using the program: Magic Movie Edit Pro Premium, Version 17.0.3.178 (UDP3).

Can post the MediaInfo data from the Text view please - it can be copy and pasted and gives us more detailed information of what the file contains.

Thanks for the images - for future posts you can paste the data from the Text view directly into a post.

From the MediaInfo data there should be no issue importing the video file.

Do other video clips from the same camera also give the error message or is it just this one?

The problem is with any video from the GoPro. I did some editing using this computer and videos from the same camera before, what was different this time was that when the program opened asked for an update.

Will try to upload a video from the phone and try it.

Good afternoon, sorry for the delay following up.

I tried with videos from different sources like my phone and nothing....Allways the same error: Failed to WaveOutWrite.

Today I remove the program from the computer, reboot and re-install it using the original link sent by Magix. After opening the program and trying to load a video clip, the same error pop up.

Any more ideas?

I have just noticed on the video exif data a QuickTime marker on the audio codec.

Do you have QuickTime on your computer? If not try downloading it. The last version for Windows which is very old, and see if that works.
