I've been having issues reintalling Magix 17. It keeps giving me the following error message http://i.imgur.com/4RzBF73.png I have tried removing all traces of Magix from my program files, Appdata and registry. I have cleaned my registry 10 times and nothing has helped. I need 17 because it has a visual effect that apparently isn't on any other version.

Hi

Looking at that dialog window I am guessing you are trying to install on a Windows 8 computer - is this correct?

If so you may have further issues with MEP 17 in particular the DVD drive not recognised - the only option then is to upgrade to a Windows 8 compatible version

. . . . removing all traces of Magix from my program files, Appdata . . .

How?  If you are just deleting the contents of these folders then you are leaving behind a lot of installation information which will cause problems re-installing.  You must use the programs un-install option and then use the Magix cleanup tool available here. before re-installing.

. . . . I have cleaned my registry 10 times . . .

I would not recommend using a Registry Cleaner unless it is absolutely necessary .
