I just bought a copy of Movie Edit Pro Plus from the Windows Store (Version 16.0.2.48) for my company. I imported an existing H.264 MP4 video that I wanted to trim, and now just want to export back to the same format (original video was created in another program several years ago). I have tried various settings (with/without hardware acceleration, etc) and every time I export a movie using MPEG-4, the result is just a blank video (black screen). However, if I export to HEVC, then I get video, but there is a lot of judder.
I have also matched the resolution and framerate for exporting to the original video. 1280x720, 29.97 fps
I'm not sure what the issue is. Anybody familiar with this issue?
Running on a Surface Book (i7, 8GB RAM, Nvidia 940m'ish GPU)
EDIT
I found a similar post here:

Seems like the problem is that even though Movie Edit Pro is able to import the video, it doesn't like some videos when exporting to MP4. I tried importing some newer MP4 video from a different source and it worked without issue exporting back to MP4.
