Export to mp3 on MEP 2022

John-Pollock wrote on 4/7/2022, 7:41 AM

Windows 10. Using Movie Edit Pro 2022. After editing an mp3 file. Choosing Export to MP3 fails to work. I see on the internet that this is a common problem. If I use Export to wav file then it does work and I have to use another piece of software to change the wav to MP3. Can you advise a solution. Thanks.

Good afternoon @John-Pollock and welcome to the Forum. To speed up any future enquiries you may have please do what is written in this post https://www.magix.info/us/forum/please-do-the-following-before-posting-your-question--621831/. Thank you.

The MP3 export bug was fixed back in February 2022 with patch version 130. Can I suggest you update your program.

Thanks for your help

@me_again don't you get a popup when you start the program that there is an update available? At least I do.

me_again wrote on 4/7/2022, 10:50 AM

@Reyfox

Yes, I've updated to 138 this morning. I was merely pointing out to @John-Pollock that the MP3 bug was fixed 2 patches ago.

Or did you mean your post for @Reyfox?

@me_again neither can I. That's why I formed it in a way of a "question". I can't think of any reason why someone would not get an update notice when they start the software and it's connected to the internet. Especially since you have to have internet in order to register the software and use it upon installing it.

@Reyfox

Just to clarify the situation and remove any misconceptions. I have been using legally purchased downloads of Magix for a number of years and thru those years have kept up to date on newest versions. Recently I have mistaken I think 'upgrades' as a means of encouraging me to buy more up to date versions and therefore have ignored them. Problem now solved and thanks again for your help.

@John-Pollock

Thanks for the reply. Upgrades and updates are very similar when speed reading pop-ups.

Thanks for the clarification.

I think it would be nice to have a "sticky" with Update news.

Hi.

As far as I'm aware, Updates are always plain text with no pictures.

Maybe they should title them patches. A much more descriptive, honest, and less confusing term to differentiate the two.

@Reyfox

The moderators have removed the false and inflammatory inference you made on a public forum. They have removed an angry rant which you sent to me which had no relevance to me and was contrary to the code of conduct. This is called reparation. I was always taught that if I made a mistake which affected someone else then I should apologise. I hope you can make that reparation. I just asked for some HELP which your colleague offered me.

Reyfox wrote on 4/9/2022, 1:31 PM

@John-Pollock I never sent an angry rant to you privately and did apologize in the public forum, which was removed, possibly before you read it.

But since you possibly didn't see it, I will PUBLICLY apologize for the inferences I made about your character.
