"Export Turbo"/hardware accel no longer working

system and installs:
-fresh install of 2023 Platinum edition with "claimed AMD and NVIDIA support"
-freshest drivers for GPU CPU MB AUDIO...
-Ryzen 7 1700
-GTX1070
 
( it did work just yesterday)

basically every time i export it does not use hardware accel!
but in playback i can see the program using the card for encoding through task manager.
export will not use the Card at all,
doesnt matter what i try out in settings and export settings, if i restart the pc, the software, run as admin etc.


what ive done prior to it not working:
turned off pc normally,
so basically nothing

what ive done trying to fix it
- reset nvidia control panel
-reset card in device manager
-reset magix settings
-ensured MULITIPLE times that the GTX 1070 is indeed selected

Hi.

If your monitors are not 10 bit then don't activate 'Output to monitors with high bit depth'.

Ian, this is a bit confusing. Did the problem start as soon as you installed of 2023 or after you'd used it a bit?

If the card was being used OK for export prior to 2023 being installed and now isn't, it would be worth putting that on the 2023 feedback topic.

All my forum comments are based on or refer to my System 1.

My struggle is over! I built my (now) system 2 in 2011 when DV was king and MPEG 2 was just coming onto the scene and I needed a more powerful system to cope. Since then we've advanced to MP4 and to bigger and bigger resolutions. I was really suffering, not so much in editing (with proxies) but in encoding, which just took ages. A video, with Neat Video noise reduction applied, would encode at 12% of film speed. My new system 1 does the same job at 160% of film speed. Marvellous. I'm keeping my old system as a capture station for analogue video tapes and DV.
