Hi,

I don't have it yet, but since it's like MEP, the fade effects should be all under the "Templates" tab. Take a look at everything that is there.

Hi Micha,

Did you download and install all of the extra content?

Can you post some screen shots of the templates screens?

I located the Video Pro X 10 -> "plugins" folder and found the "MovieEffectTransitions" folder, but when running the program the transitions are not in the Templates -> transitions list. How do I file a bug report?

I installed everything.

As you can see, these effects are but they are not on the menu ?!

Here should be MovieTemplates and there is no: /

@Michal-MST

Confirmed. Looks like they forgot to put the link along with the various lengths. As well, they forgot to put in the link to the folder under MAGIX Tools for XAR. They have added Cloud Import that opens a German interface.

In the meantime, if you really need the Movie Templates, you can navigate to the location under the Import tab and create a link:

C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Video Pro X\8\MovieTemplates

I'll add these and any other problems to the other thread.

I contacted Magix Support and they informed me that the "Movie Transition Fades" are not included anymore.

I find it strange that they included the transitions in the directories but not in the program interface.

@dougj

Hi Doug,

Looking at the new format for transitions, it looks like everything got the new format except for Movie Transition fades, so Magix has abandoned them.

However, you can still use them. As best I can tell, the mxv is put on a separate track and given Chromakey "Mix." So, copy all of the mxv files to a another folder outside of the ProgramData, and create a link to the folder in the Media Pool Import. Then you can simply drag in an mxv file, put it below the crossfade transition, give it a Chromakey Mix, and adjust the length of the transition to fit, or stretch the mxv file to fit your transition (speed change).
