this was the result of capture a 4:3 file mp4

the nearest would be 720*576 but thats Pal and the sound ould work as the movies ntsc

it wont excep avi as it shows the capture card cant be used on avi

the card is VHS - to DVD K world

Which Magix product did you capture the video with and does the video look like that in its preview monitor after capture?

That does not make sense - if the video is NTSC and you captured as PAL the video at best should be monochrome with shifting colour bands, at worst just noise - the 2 TV systems are not compatible with each other and NTSC is 720 x 480 which would not account for the image having the Aspect Ratio (AR) shown above.

Is this from a commercial video tape? This looks like the video has been letterboxed, the actual video AR appears to be ~ 2.75:1 which is very close to a cinema widescreen anamorphic film aspect ratio.
