Hallo Rob,

Ik denk dat die realtek audio output ontbreekt op mijn pc.

Om op je vragen te antwoorden:
Dit staat bij apparaten beheer

Hieronder de technische specs van de pc

Op basis van je video loop ik al vast na twee stappen omdat het door u aangeven item niet beschikbaar is. Daarom denk ik dat er 'iets' mankeert op deze pc.

Ik was net een mail aan het schrijven naar de leverancier van dit toestel. Ik reken erop dat die me kan helpen tenzij jij nog iets in je mouw hebt zitten.

Hallo Marc,

Hier zit volgens mij de kneep. U hebt geen realtek audio output. Deze hebt je volgens mij nodig om audio uit te voeren. Ik ga voor u verder zoeken. 😉

U geeft wel de specificatie van uw processor en gebruikte Windows versie. Maar niet van uw moederbord.  Maar goed,  nu maar uitzoeken hoe e.a. kan worden aangezet.

Ik hoor wel wat de leverancier deze nm te vertellen heeft.

Beste Rob & Ray,

Ik durf haast niet meer op dit forum verschijnen....
Ik had deze namiddag (telefonisch) contact met mijn PC-leverancier en die vond het raar dat een en ander niet werkte omdat hij vond dat de instellingen ok waren om het te laten werken
Toen hij me vroeg hoe de viderecorder aan de pc gekoppeld was heb ik wat aan die bekabeling geweest om hem te beschrijven hoe dit gekoppeld was.
Toen had ik plots ook geen beeld meer..
Ik maakte toen een afspraak om komende donderdag (17/7) met heel de installatie bij hem langs te gaan.
Maar ik had nog een andere videorecorder (wel minder qua kwaliteit) en die heb ik dan boven gehaald.
Eerst op TV getest en dan op PC.

En je kon het al raden: alles werkte zoals het moet - inclusief geluid.

Ik kon het dan toch niet laten om de eerste videorecorder terug aan te sluiten waarbij ik merkte dat de scartfiche moeilijk aan te sluiten is (wegens de constructie van de video/meegeleverde scartfiche) waardoor het heel nauw luistert om zowel beeld als geluid te krijgen.
Maar dat is me dus gelukt om het aan de praat te krijgen.

Ik weet niet hoe ik jullie moet bedanken voor alle geleverde inspanningen terwijl dat mogelijk niet nodig was geweest.

Ik kan jullie alleen maar mijn oprechte excuses aanbieden voor deze situatie.
Eerlijkshalve begon ik wel al wat te panikeren of dit ooit nog wel goed zou komen.
Had ik een foute pc gekocht of was dit pakket toch niet wat ik ervan mocht verwachten.
Maar zie: eind goed al goed...
Nogmaals erg bedankt.

Hallo Marc,

U en wij waren ervan uitgegaan, dat de gebruikte videorecorder in orde was. In een van uw antwoorden schreef u nog: "De gebruikte videorecorder werkt nog perfect (met geluid). Dat had ik vooraf al gecontroleerd maar nu dus bevestigd. De Scart connector staat op stand ‘out’ en er zijn geen gebroken, ontbrekende of gebogen pinnen".

Maar goed, u bent er uiteindelijk zelf tot de conclusie gekomen dat Scart aansluiting toch het probleem was.  Bedankt👍 voor uw terugkoppeling. Ik wens heel veel plezier met het overzetten van uw films via de Magix USB Video Omzetter naar MP4 bestanden. Maak er iets moois van.

Tot slot, sluit ik mij geheel aan bij de opmerking van @CubeAce (Ray): "Laat het je er niet van weerhouden om in de toekomst vragen te stellen op het forum als dat nodig is".

PS. Als Magix gebruiker heb ik middels uw topic ook mijn horizon kunnen verbreden ten aanzien van de Realtek Audio drivers.

Hi Marc.

After reading the last reply from @Bol , a thought occurred to me. The signal from the non working VCR may just not be strong enough for the program but strong enough to play back to a TV. In that case it may just be a case of using a spray cleaner on the VCR Scart output and cleaning the the VCR heads which should in theory increase the signal output. If you have such things to hand then that may be something to try in the future. For now stick with what is already working.

Hallo Marc,

Allereerst wil ik wat kanttekeningen plaatsten over gebruik van reinigingsspray (contact spray). Bij ondeskundig gebruik kunt u de videorecorder inwendig beschadigen!! Op dit moment zou ik u niet kunnen aangeven wel merk contact spray het beste is, maar wel waarvoor u moet oppassen:

  • bij het overdadig gebruik van contactspray kan de Scart-stekker, die bestaat uit 21 kleine pennetjes en deze liggen ook nog eens dicht bij elkaar en kan daardoor kortsluiting veroorzaken.
  • Als u het toch wilt uitproberen, gebruik dan alleen speciaal daarvoor bedoelde contactspray. Kies bij voorkeur een niet geleidende, snel verdampende contactspray, die geschikt is voor elektronische contacten. Verkrijgbaar in de vakhandel
  • Laat de Scart stekker altijd volledig drogen voordat je hem weer aansluit.
  • Het spreek voor zich, maar spuit nooit rechtstreeks in de videorecorder. Dus alleen op de Scart stekker, niet in de Scart poort van je tv of videorecorder.
  • als alternatief zou u een droog, zacht borsteltje of wattenstaafje kunnen gebruiken met een klein beetje pure alcohol of contactspray.
  • Een slecht beeld, wordt meestal veroorzaakt door vervuilde videokoppen. Probeer deze nooit handmatig te schoon te maken, dit is vakwerk, die je door een specialist moet laten uitvoeren. Wat ik wel kan adviseren is om een reinigingscassette te kopen bij b.v. Bol.com en daarmee de videokoppen schoon te maken. Zie: Hama Video Vhs/S-Vhs Reinigingscassette.

Nogmaals, ik wens u veel plezier met het overzetten van uw VHS banden.

I forget some people have probably never done this whereas I have been doing such things for over 40 years.

Apologies for that. Personally I would recommend any specialised electronic contact spray from WD40 or Radio Spares if you have them in your country. I have never managed to damage a socket but never have a device switched on while spraying and leave for 10 to 15 minutes to fully dry out after. Scart sockets are reasonably well made compared to the plugs. A lot may depend on the quality of the product. Head cleaning tapes are OK but can't be used more than a few times or you will start to deposit more grime than you remove. I agree that if you haven't done any cleaning of a video head before not to do it manually. Ink rubbers are also good for cleaning larger contact pins with care but needs more care and takes a lot more time. Plugging and unplugging a few times can also help remove enough oxidation from pins but doesn't always work on all of them equally.
