Hardware Rendering

Just an observation, unable at this time to pinpoint the reason for it all. Rendering a project, H.265 at 30 fps with 1920 by 1080, hardware encoding enabled (mixed). Same project file and source media (mix video and pictures) for all three devices. Product is Video Deluxe 2026 Premium.

Devices tested:
Alienware R10 (Ryzen 9 3950x, 64 GB ram, older and current drivers) = 47 minutes render time
Beelink SER8 (Ryzen 7 8745HS, 64 GB ram, current vendor drivers) = 43 minutes
Minisforum UM870 Slim (Ryzen 7 8745H, 24 GB ram, current vendor drivers) = 7 minutes (three run ave.)

Alienware benchmarking beats the other two in CPU and GPU. However, I observed

Alienware R10 < 20% GPU utilization, CPU > 30%
Beelink SER8 < 20% GPU utilization, CPU > 30%
Minisforum UM870 slim = 90-100% GPU utilization, CPU < 10%
Beelink and the Minisforum have the same iGPU and driver versions.

Minisforum beats the Alienware, which is surprising. I am amused and cannot determine what or why at the moment. However, the Alienware R10 can be sold, I create the projects on the Beelink, ship the project and media to the Minisforum and render the video on that device.
