Total Novice. I am trying to get the on screen keyboard to appear. I have downloaded the free version so far but no other plugins. I have loaded each of the demos but cannot seeem to display the screen with the keyboard so I can play some notes. I have read the instructions but have not probably understood them properly. Can anyone give me some guidance here?

Thanks for your tiime.

Basically there are several on screen Keyboards...you will have to open Vita or a VST (virtual instrument) that is softaware driven, and there you will find your keyboards...trouble is, its entering one note at a time and can be time consuming.  Good luck

Thanks gnarly, but I have tried all ways to find Vita and VST (I have only "beatbox 2" in Instruments) including the way to access in the Help menu: "You can open Vita and Revolta 2 (Premium version only) directly by selecting one of their preset sounds in the instrument menu of the track box. At the very bottom in the menu, a sub-menu is provided for software instruments that lists the other VST instruments" but I cannot find the controls mentioned!

What am I missing here?

You sorta answered your own question in that it says in your responce ".....In Premium version...."  Silver, I believe is just a small sample of MM and therefore I don't think you're going to get a lot of bells and whistales.  I do not work for Magix, but I think it is a great program if YOU spend the TIME to learn it.  Its worth the money and at times is on "sale".  I recently bought basic MM2013 and Best of Soundpools at Frys for $19 to use on a laptop when I travel.

OK, I read that as "Premium version only for Revolta 2" and that Vita would provide me with a keyboard. I am quite willing to purchase the Premuim if I can determine that the free one works for me. Is there a way I can invoke the keyboard (assuming now that I cannot in the free version as is) by purchasing a plugin or somehow? Meanwhile I'll have a look at other programs to compare. Thanks for clearing that up.

Why spend more money on a plug-in ?  About the only other sorta comparable to Magix MM, which is an entry level program, is Sequel from Steinberg, another German outfit, whom by the way, gave us  ASIO.  Magix just seems to be more for the money....in my estimation.  MM has pleanty of plug ins in the program.
