Highlights jumpy or shimmering in playback

I converted 4K video to mp4 using PlayMemories conversion.  When I imported the video into Movie Edit Pro 2016 and viewed the video, the image seems steady throughout.  However, when I burn a disc to the DVD option and then watch the video, highlights seem jumpy or shimmering.  Is this a function of the burning speed or do I need to change some other setting?  Using Windows 10.

Hi

The issue could be caused by the down scaling from 4K video resolution to DVD resolution of 720 x 576 (PAL) or 720 x 480 (NTSC).

You are losing a significant amount of data (image pixels), and the playback will appear worse if you are viewing the DVD on a HD or 4K TV due to the upscaling of the low resolution video to the higher resolutions.

Can you post a short clip (10 - 15 secs) of the original 4K video that exhibits this problem to somewhere like Dropbox - do not post it to the forum or sites like Youtube or Vimeo, they will convert the video - we need the original for us to test.

Thanks, John. The 4K to mp4 looks good with no evidence of the shimmering. Also, when viewing the project prior to burning, it also does not show signs of the shimmering. It is only after burning to DVD that the problem appears. I am watching it on a 4K TV, however. It has been suggested that the bit rate may need to be slowed down, which I have yet to try.
