how can i hear the beat (click) recording an instrument in live?

I ve got the trial version of magix music maker and until now it is impossible to find the option to hear the rythm click (beat) when i record an instrument... Help please? It could be decide me to buy this software. Thanks

You can choose wether the metronome clicks the first 4 bars, all way through recording or only during playback.
