How can I shrink my actor (make tiny) and still have the regular footage in the background?

What i want to do is, have my one actor infront of a green screen and then film my other actor without.  The actor with the green screen I want to shrink down to small size where i can put him on the other actor's shoulder, or even to set him on or near a full size object.  Basically like the movie Honey I shrunk the Kids.  I just want to learn how to do that on Movie Edit Pro 17 or do I need After Effects?

You can do that in Movie Edit Pro

That would be using the "Size/Position" set under the 'Movement Effects' in the Effects Tab. You would also use the "Chroma-Key" effect.

Use the Time-Line mode

Background in track one (for you that would be the regular sized actor)
Chroma-key in track two [or three if there is audio associated to the video in track one] (green screen actor)

Select green screen video object (this will highlight the object)

Go to the 'Effects' Tab

Find the 'Movement effects' > "Size/Position"

In the preview monitor you will see orange handles around the green screen video. you can make that smaller by grabing one of the corners and moving to the center of the preview monitor. That is how you resize.

In the 'Effects' Tab, under 'Video effects' > "Chroma key" you can select green. That will set the green screen.

You might need to re-size again or a few times. It would be done the same way as described here. Just remember, the track must be selected.
