How do I combine 2 short videos into one video?

I am using MEP 2015 Pro Plus and am trying to combine 2 short videos into one. I have followed JohnEBaker's suggestion of saving the videos as MVDs then creating a new project and importing the 2 videos. I tried this but I still ended up with 2 separate videos - as 2 chapters in one video. But what I want is to combine the 2 into one - one just follows on from the other. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Prudie,

I think all you need to do is be sure to pick a 'Only one marker' when you first enter the burn menu:

As you already have two markers you can also manually delete the second one by right clicking on its little blue flag above the timelines.

Hi Prue,

In the video with your "2 chapters" which, I presume has really 2 movies, simply open the second one, click on the first object, then select all or Ctrl+A, copy or Ctrl+C. Then click on the first movie, move the playback marker to the end; you can use the End key for this. Then paste or Ctrl+V, and all of the objects from your second movie will be on the same timeline as the first movie. Save.

You can then delete the second Movie from the Project by clicking on the X. You still have the MVD if you ever need it again.

See below.

Or for a better image, click here.

Then please read page 32 in the pdf manual. Then go to the start of the manual and search (Ctrl+F) for instances of Chapters and read up on that. Then do the same for "Movies." Read pages 248-253, starting with Manage movies. You really need to understand what you are doing if you want to save a lot of time.

A Project - has Movies - each Movie can have Chapters. Chapters are only used when burning to DVD or BD; useless for Export formats.

And finally read this tutorial to find out how to use Movies and Chapters for burning a DVD or BD.
