i have magix music maker 17 and i've been playing about with settings and have somehow ended up with a kick every half a second, no clue how ive done it but its started happening on all projects, even previously saved ones, quite annoying. if someone knows how to get rid of it i'd be overjoyed.

It sounds like you've turned the metronome ON. You just need to go back into the Program Settings or Arrangement settings and turn the metronome back off.
I'd tell you to quit "playing about", but that's really the best way to really learn how to use this software. Just don't do it in the middle of a very important project (at least not without saving it first). Good luck!
