How does SFACL 2 Compare with NCH Software WavePad Sound Editor?

I realize this could be interpreted as being an obnoxious flame by me, but since my PC doesn't have SFACL 2; and I'm looking for a more feature-rich app than Audacity; I've noticed NCH has apps similar to what MAGIX offers, such as WavePad Sound Editor and Burn Express; which are discounted offers for the month of September.

Considering the budget constraints I'm living with during this Pandemic, the WavePad Sound Editor is more affordable than the SFACL 2. Is anyone out there familiar with both apps than can present a comparison? Info overviews at both websites seems similar. Please beware that NCH could be monitoring this forum. Your time with this is appreciated.

Hi again,

Download the trial versions of both and judge for yourself. However, if you use other Magix products, like Movie Edit Pro Plus Premium, SFACL2 works with it as an external audio editor. Also, with SFACL 2 you get:

  • Audio cleaning with iZotope RX 7 Elements
  • Mastering with iZotope Ozone 9 Elements
  • essentialFX - 6 professional effect plug-ins

I don't think that NCH has the equivalent.

Also, you should determine your requirements and then look to see what fulfils them. When money is tight, don't spend on what you don't need.

Magix has other tools that may interest you like SF Audio Studio and Sound Forge Pro (expensive). Check out
