How to add a Snow fall and Build up effect

Doing a Christmas Video and want to add Snow and a build up on the botton of the screen..Best way?

Have you done a web search for any snowfall animation videos? If they have the typical blue or black background you can put it on a track below (higher number) your Christmas video and apply a chroma key effect so the background becomes transparent.

If you need a separate buildup you could draw a black and white image which is gradually moved up with movement effects (having made its background transparent as well.

As Carl says you may have to create a 'build up' at the bottom.
