I recorded  a movie with gopro camera . the camera does not have a time code function .

I  want to put a time code that I will put the starting date an hour .

How can I create a time code and insert it to the movie with edit pro softwre ?

glumaoz,

Several ways of getting there... Right click within the preview pane and chose 'Time display' or go to the 'Title' tab and chose 'Timecode;. Also you can right click on the video object in the timeline and pick 'Fade in date as title'.

I've not used this feature before so I'm not sure about it but suspect the two dates shown in my image are maybe when the video was recorded and when it was imported into my computer. Can't say much about your camera. Do you mean it can't record the time onto the video image or that it doesn't record date/time into the 'meta' (/) data of the file?

Regards,

Carl

Hi

. . . . . How can I create a time code and insert it to the movie with edit pro softwre . . . .

That depends on the version of MEP you are using!

If you are using MEP 2014 then it is on the Titles tab under Timecode.

Previous versions do not have the Timecode option.

. . . . record the time onto the video image or that it doesn't record date/time into the 'meta' (/) data of the file . .

@Carl - pro cameras record the SMPTE timecodes for synchronisation of video during the editting process.
