Hi,

You cannot expect MEP to tell you the size of the video before it exists.

With experience, as you know the duration of the movie and the project settings such as resolution and frame rate, you will become able to roughly estimate its size.

Alternatively, if the movie has a broadly similar ’structure’ throughout (content types, effects, transitions, audio, captions, tracks used, etc) then you could start the export and render say 5% of it, look at the resultant size and multiply by 20 for your estimate.

But isn’t it likely that you’ll want to review the first export and then edit it, so you’ll then have a very good idea of its final size.

Ah, ok :)

I just a little spoiled then from Adobe Elements there you can see what size the output file will be before you convert it. I need to sit and test different setting as you describe.
