How to setup chapter mark without menu link

How I can put a chapter mark to movie, but I don't want to have a link in menu. Most of chapter marks are linked in the menu, but I'd like to have chapter mark for ending text, but I don't want it to appear to chapter menu. If I delete the link, it appears the again every time. If I remove a tick from that chapter in menu tool's chapters, it removes chapter mark also. But I'd like to have possible to jump to that chapter by pressing skip-button in remote.

Set up your chapters as required on the timeline.

On the Burn tab select Edit mode for the DVD menu you are using and remove the check mark from the Chapter Menu option - see image.

Doesn't that remove the whole chapter menu? I just want to remove the last chapter from menu but leave that chapter mark to video itself.

I'm curious why you want an 'invisible' chapter marker. There are other types available eg 'project' markers used for easy navigation while editing.

If it must be a chapter marker you might get by with reducing its size on the DVD menu to the minimum and placing it out of sight. Just a guess -- I don't know if the will cause any problems in a DVD player.

It's simple: It it a music video including 8 songs plus intro (first in disc) and ending text-part. I want that chapter menu shows the songs, but not ending text. Just like with "real bands". But I need chapter mark for ending text because it must be possible to jump to watch ending text with skip-buttons of remote control, without having to watch the last song and wait for end text or using fast forward. And other thing: intro is not an official song, and it's the first in DVD, so it's quite unnecessary to put it in chapter menu, because is someone wants to watch it, can choose "play all" function. But it's handy if one can jump with remote controller's skip buttons during the film wherever wants, even to very start of the film.

Using minimum size button or leaving chapter name text empty doesn't work, because "cursor" jumps to those invisible buttons and that show to user as disappearing cursor, that's not very professional in commercial product.

All these answers I'm getting to different questions, show that many of you are not very familiar with this software, even when you guys answer to questions as "gurus". ;) I've been using this software for a month, and it seems like I know more about this than many of you "forum actives". Not meaning you Carl, it just came to my mind after reading many replies to my questions, but without getting any real answers.

I must say I'm quite surprised to Movie Edit, because I've read some reviews of this software, that have said that this almost products a commercial level DVD's. It's quite far from it, thanks to very limited menu tool that also has quite a lot bugs.

The reason you are getting different answers to your question is due to the initial question which was asked being open to many different interpretations. I also had this with your other post re music looping.

Many of the users on here have a vast experience of using MEP for their particular needs.

I have been using MEP since version 11. I also have used and supported users with Pinnacle Studio, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Premiere Elements and Sony Vegas Pro, also DVD Lab Pro and Sony DVD Architect Studio - with these latter two you can really create some fantastic menu architectures.

Please be careful when casting aspersions about other users skills on this forum.

MEP is capable of creating high quality DVD's and Blu-ray discs. As you gain more experience with it you will also find this is so. MEP has a steeper learning curve then for example Pinnacle and ULead software

Might you get the result you want by having your songs as one movie (eight chapters) the ending text as a separate movie (single chapter) in the one DVD project? There are several options for what happens at the end of the first movie (the songs) including jump to film menu or chapter menu or jump to next movie (the text).
