How to track missing MEP project files?

Windows 7 +

Each time i Click File – Open Recently opened project - “File not found” message pops out – with the following options: Repeat / Skip / Skip All / Folder / Cancel  see screenshot 1
when i click “ Skip All” , see screenshot 2 - pops out
why is it without deleting / changing name / relocating any files is MEP in this condition and what can i do to get back those files which had been edited ?

Hi,

According to your screen shot, the file that MEP is looking for used to be in the following path

C:\\Users\Bert\Videos\chan vob\Vts_01_2.VOB

It is either no longer at this locaction, or the file name has been changed.  You need to find the file on your computer and point MEP to it by clicking on "Folder" then either select the file from the new location, or if the name has changed select the re-named file.  From what I see on the upper screen shot, you have 4 files that are either re-located or re-named.

Is it possible that the files were accidentally deleted or perhaps moved to another storage device?

By clicking "Skip All" you are basically telling the application to ignore those files.

THANK YOU very much George it works.

Is there a limit as to the number of projects one can do editing on MEP at any one time? Currently, i'm working on more than 8 projects. Yes 4 had the same problem without deleting / changing name / relocating files from the original.

Hi,

I really only have one project open at a time so I really can't answer your question I did try opening 10 projects at the same time and did not seem to have any problems but have no idea if there is a maximum number.

I'm glad that you were able to relocate the files in your projects.
