How to view the error log

When the program shows a message "error encoding movie" there is a button to open the error log listing.

But how can I access that cumulative log on its own if I want to look at it again once it closes?

Depending on the version of MEP the burn log file will be in either:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\MAGIX\Program name_version\dbk.log

or in

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\MAGIX\Program name_version\videodeluxe.log

Note:

the Appdata folder is a hidden folder and you may not see it - a quick way to get to the Magix folder is to type %appdata\Magix\ in Windows File Explorer location bar as shown below:
The data for the last burn will be at the bottom of the appropriate log file which may contain many thousands of lines of logged data.
