I HAVE LOST A BRAND NEW RECORDING CAN NOT REPLACE PLEASE HELP>?????

As the heading says i just finished the absolute perfect recording truly once in a lifetime chance to pull it all off. And i went to import my VST directory something i did before on my laptop but just got a new harddrive installed and starting from scratch so needed to install everything again and soundforge was working fine done a lot of recordings before as the directory was copying across it said that forge uncounted a problem and had to shut fine i went to reopen forge i seen the box saying recover file clicked yes and nothing???????? please help

@DJ-Projectamind It looks like the download was interrupted. Just start the installation again. It can help to disable Windows Defender or other antivirus/firewall softwares temporarily during installation. Sometimes they are overprotective and delete or block installation data.

Yes the download part is fine but the recording I tried to recover after having to force close the program as it crashed please and thank you for the help so far?

Look in your preferences under the "General" tab. There should be a folder where all temp files are stored.

They should be named something like filename.tmp. You can try to rename them to filename.wav and try to open them again. If the files are empty it is very likely your recording is lost.
