MEP 14 (rather old) or MEP 2014?

Does your computer have a DVD Burner, not simply a DVD-ROM (DVD reader) only? Can Windows and any suitable program (other than MEP) see and use that burner?

Rather more detail about the actual components of your computer would be useful.
