I Need Freakin Help From A Human

JBA wrote on 6/2/2020, 10:19 AM

I will pay for help! I will pay to call Germany. Where is the number? I'm so incredibly frustrated right now, I can't think straight. I'm under a deadline, things the tutorial says I can do I can't. I need a live person and I don't have days to wait. I feel like getting a refund and starting over with a company that has better customer service, better explanations of how to do things, or a more intuitive program! Please help.

@JBA

Support is not there to help you edit; for that, there is a manual, tutorials, and this forum. So, if you have a problem with editing, why not ask here?

Because I have several questions. This process is slow and the back and forth emailing is frustrating. BTW, I've spent the last 2 hours digging through manuals, and watching tutorials. I really want to get rid of this program and choose something else. However, I'll start with this: I have Movie Pro Edit Premium. It says there are templates, plural, to choose from. I have one template. "Otherland." Is that it? That's not what the manual nor the tutorial says. It says this, "Open movie templates The movie templates are located under "Templates" > "Movie templates & editing templates" in the Media Pool. Select the movie template according to the desired length of the movie. Double clicking on a movie template opens it for editing." There is only one template, 15 seconds in length. Where are the others?

Did you download and install the additional content under Help, Install extra content, then on the dialogue screen, Download extra content? If not, do so now. BTW, when you installed, there was a message box that popped up telling you to do this.

I did everything during the install that it asked me to do. I have something called Maps, that I don't need, Music Maker which I also don't need because I've been been using Music Studio for over 10 years, and something from Soundforge that pops up every time I my laptop boots up. I will try to find the additional content and install that. Thank you. If this fixes that, that'll be one question down, a ton more to go.

@JBA

Install the additional content as I indicated. There was probably also information in the email that you received to install the additional content.

I suggest that you install Travel Maps. You may not need it now, but may find it useful in the future. It is small and can be accessed from the menu, Edit, Wizards.

Music Maker is a separate program. Popups upon startup happen because Magix Connect gets installed. You can open it separately or from within MEP and change the parameters to see only adverts/notices that you want.

Once you have the additional content installed, you should see approximately what is shown below in the two folders for Movie templates & editing templates:

To get a good understanding as to how they work, see the tutorial below. The process has changed slightly, but only in how to get the template onto the timeline.

This also shows that you must download and install the additional content and update to the latest version.
