Importing content and my other tracks shift to the right

Is there a way to prevent my clips (audio and video) from shifting to the right every time I import new content? For example, I may have six tracks full of "stuff", then split the set and move it over a bit so I can squeeze in a small video clip as a transition. When I drag in the transition video to an empty track, everything else on ALL tracks to the right of it shifts to the right a distance equal to the length of the imported video. But, that's not what I wanted... I don't want those other tracks to move. I worked so hard to put them exactly where they're at :-) .

If I activate the little padlock symbol on the tracks I want to keep static, I can't add any new content at all, even to a new, unused, unlocked track. So, that's not the fix. Hoping it's a simple setting I simply couldn't find. Any help is much appreciated!

Info: I'm using Movie Edit Pro Premium (the "About" dialog states this is version 16 but is noted as 2017 in my Magix.com account settings online) with Windows 10 Home version with all the updates in place for both.

Not sure if it's any help, may be changing how new objects are inserted may help.

May be the single track ripple will work ( but it still moves 1 track) , you will need to test it out.

@Aliakey

. . . . I can't add any new content at all, even to a new, unused, unlocked track. . . . .

Works OK in MEP 2018 - this must have been fixed in a patch.

If you have a live Update service (subscription) then you should have a popup opening in the program to tell you there is a new version available to bring your version up to the current one 17.0.3.183

. . . . version 16 but is noted as 2017 in my Magix.com account . . . .

The version number is not the same as the program name, which to be perfectly correct is Movie Edit Pro which comes in three versions Movie Edit Pro , Movie Edit Pro Plus, Movie Edit Pro Premium - none of which has the year or version number in its name.

The version is a set of 4 numbers indicating which release or patch version is installed, it helps when posting to quote the whole version number.
