Importing Video from a VHS PLAYER using USB Connection

weedavy6969 wrote on 3/12/2015, 2:42 PM

PROJECT - To Import my old VHS Video's and convert them to Digital/Mp4

EQUIPMENT - I have a VHS PLAYER, and using EnVivo HD DVD MAKER bought from that famous Video/Audio store- ALDI! The Bundled software with that is ArcSoft ShowBiz.

QUESTION - Is it possible to get the Video re-routed to Magix and not have to use ArcSoft? ( It seems to only save as Mp2!)

The Connection to the Computer is by USB but don't know how to 'Import' USB into Magix..Where do I find the stream from the Video Player? >Computer>Magix Movie Edit pro 2013

Hope that makes sense to someone!

Cheers in advance ..

Hello Dave, I spotted your question as I was posing one of my own. I was introduced to Magix by the purchase of Magix 'Rescue Your Video Tapes' I found it very easy to use, it came with all the necessary bits and pieces and it was not expensive. Perhaps this is the easiest solution to your problem?

Hi

Have you followed the instructions in the MEP2013 PDF manual Page75 under Video recording > Analog Video recording? The pictures there relate to a USB device being connected.
