Installation Error from the Sound Forge install file provided by Magix

Hello...I'm hoping this is a common issue with a quick solution...

Within seconds of beginning the installation of Sound Forge I get the following error:

An error occurred during transfer which caused the installation to stop. This problem can most likely be fixed by restarting the transfer of the installer application. If you experience further problems, contact the MAGIX support...Click "OK" to restart the installation transfer.

Clicking OK just removes the error pop up window for about 2 seconds and then it pops up again..
I downloaded the installation file multiple times with the same result.

Thank you in advance for any assistance/recommendations.

I think this is the fourth time in the last few weeks I've read about an installation issue on a computer with an AMD Ryzen CPU. Not saying the CPU is the problem, though.

You might want to check out the computer forum at Gearslutz for more feedback.

I just bought Acid Pro 10 from Magix a week or two ago and didn't have any issues at all with the installation. However I doubt that the possibility of the cpu being the issue changes since the version of Sound Forge that I'm trying to install is a few years old.
Also...I finished building my pc about a month ago and gave it a fresh new Windows installation. I'm still basically working from a blank canvas here, so that should narrow down some of the usual troubleshooting issues related to older PCs that have had hundreds of updates and installations.

Thanks for the link, I'll check their board out!

Did the get the installer file from the Magix Download Center? Also, check your Documents folder for the actual Magix installer folder.

Yeah it's the one they provided.

Figured out the problem. It had something to do with Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 that it was trying to install. I installed it manually first and then the installation completed with no other issues.
