Installation files

Bhadra_Balaram_das wrote on 6/23/2017, 7:24 AM

When I downloaded the installation files for MEP premium (around 423mb or whatever) and Music maker (around 720mb or whatever) they were apparently saved somewhere on my computer by the installer. I know this as it did ask me to save or not and also because when I reinstall the program it does not download those files again. Can someone tell me where Magix saves those files? I need to remove all of them as I want to download the whole package again to make sure the files were not corrupted. I need this as the program keeps crashing like a crazy drunk, again and again and again and again practically every minute after I restart it. This cannot be the case with all, so I want to delete all downloaded files. Let me know if someone knows it. Thanks.

Hi,

before to begin to work clean your computer using a frre version Ccleaner that you can download from the Web. Also you can scan using Malwarebyte free on the Web. If your Hard disk is not a ssd type you can defrag. After test your present software may be it can run perfectly. If is not run try to repair the Magix software.

Hi

The files should be in the location specified in the Program settings, Folder tab, Downloads

If your OS is Windows 10 there is no need to defrag the hard drive - Windows 10 does this automatically once per week.

I would advise a complete re-install of the program follow this tutorial, it is for issues with Windows 10, however for Windows 7 and 8 you can skip steps 3 to 10.

If you do not remove the files left behind then re-installing will not fix some issues

I would also advise being very careful using CCleaner.

I did find the files. They were hidden in My Documents/Magix Download folder.

BTW, the crashing issue is gone after I installed the update.
