Thank you so much for your help ; i found it .

But i have another problem

when i want to import videos from my video camera to MEP , i connect my video camera to computer and after that when i make a new project i press the red bottom and it open for me a window ( Recording select a recording source ) but the MEP Crash.

i tried more than 10 times it is crash , why it happened and who i solve the problem

before i used MEP 2021 it works so well nothing happened and when the window open i chose AVCHD and i import all my videos .

Hi Allaa.

I think maybe you are using an analog DV camera?

I have no experience with using those as all my cameras are purely digital and I just download the video from their memory cards in either mov or MP4 formats.

You may have to wait for another member to take over on this question.

thank you for your answer but do you know now i try again without connecting the video camera .i opened MEP and i press the red bottom and the window opened and i chose AVCHD and also the MEP crash .

so i dont know why

Crashes can be caused by component or device driver incompatibility. Please supply a list of all the components in your computer as well as driver versions and current windows version and build as asked for in this forum sticky thread.

Hi.

According to what I saw on the Canon site it is a digital camera that uses an SD card recording MP-4 video file format. It is easier to download those onto your computer via a card reader or by connecting the camera and setting it as a usb storage device and copy and pasting the video files to a hard drive. Using the red button in MEP may well end in getting lower quality recordings.

There is also dedicated Canon software to do this.

yes , i use SD card and i import all videos to MEP , it is easier way .

but why MEP crash when i press the red button and i chose AVCHD after that the second window opened after a short time it crash

The drivers for the camera may not be Windows ten compatible. Check with the Canon website for updates. I gave a link above.

Just so that you know, videos from an external device are not "imported" into MEP. They are imported to your hard drive and show up in MEP. The files used by MEP always have to reside somewhere on your computer on a drive accessible to the program. Those files that you think are imported into MEP are on your hard drive. If you exit MEP without saving, the files are still on your hard drive at the location where you sent them to.

Looking at your second image, the default is to ...My Record. I hope that this is not where you are saving your files to.

The only time I import using MEP is when I have to transfer from analogue to digital, like VHS to MP4 or something or there is no actual usable digital file that can be copied (DV). From cameras that use SD cards and from cell phones, I always use the program that comes with the device, or direct copy/paste from a cell phone.

Looking at your export older path,it says to One Drive. If that folder is web based and not on the hard drive then yes the program will crash as the files cannot be read off of, or written to the internet fast enough. Also the C: drive is not ideal for storing or using project video files as this limits working bandwidth or various components.

If you are using your C: drive for more than just running the operating system and programs how much free storage space is there and what type of drive is the C: drive?
