I have a fairly simple question, I have a Magix Movie Edit Pro Premium 2016, are any of the new ones faster at exporting or not? I did look around and see that there is new engine but people speak about it and talk how it improves editing. Thank you in advance for any answers.
The answer though is not as simple. A lot will depend on the specification of the machine you put MEP onto and the resolution of the video and amount of effects you use. On a high specification machine we (other users) have seen export times equivalent of the total playing time of the video being exported but it can run much slower.
Personally I did see an improvement on export times by just upgrading MEP to my old machine that seemed worth while to me but nowhere near what I'm experiencing now I've ported MEP to a much newer, higher specified machine.
If you added the complete specification of your computer as asked for in the sticky thread at the top of the forum page it may get a better response from anyone running MEP on a similar specified machine.
Machine wouldn't be much of a problem and editing isn't either at the moment. I am looking if I should upgrade to newest version or should I change software. This at most uses 30% of my pc resources even if I export 4k or anything else. What I am at the moment looking for is a quickest way to export my videos for YouTube.
I'm sorry about being so pedantic about specs but we are not Magix staff, just other users trying to help out those with questions, half of whom don't know much about their own setups, let alone requirements for such editing.
MEP can also be fine tuned for better export times. How you set the program up to run can make a big difference.
You may also consider upgrading to MEP Video Pro X that has more tools and would make better use of your current PC regarding faster export times.
YouTube channel name is different bunnytclub to be honest. Thank you for all help we should talk more in private there from looks of it are many small details that can be made for improvement that you know of. I used to use back in day Vegas and premier pro. I started now consider going back on premier pro since that thing eats all you have to give from of resources. This topic went way too deep from wanting to know if 2016 and 2020 version export has improved or not. You should pm me if it's possible
Not as far as I'm aware for MEP or Vegas or Edius. At least if you need to use H265 for export. All need an Intel graphics chip in the CPU for best export times. Adobe on the other hand works with both CPUs.
