Is there any way to run Music Maker 12 Deluxe on Windows 8?

I am running Windws 8 and want to install Music Maker 12 Deluxe. When I put in the disc and start the setup, a warning comes up that states the program is not compatible. It worked fine on my old Windows laptop. Any suggestions (besides buy a newer version -- I already have a newer version but liked the effects on MM12).

If an older program do not run under Windows 8, or if you want to install program from your older operating system in that case you still got hope because of Windows 8 compatibility mode.

Instead I write boring text I am giving you a link. You can read text and look at image to follow.

Two things......what OS was your OLD laptop running ?  #2 If Magix is already telling you It ain't gonna work, believe me it won't work at the most important paart of your efforts  I completely understand Nihons answer....but yu're looking for trouble...on a different matter....what effects on MM12  are you so enamored with thaat aren't on your newer version ?

Right click on INSTALL>run in compability mode . Sometimes this helps . Try different options like 800x600 as well .

gnarly, I am liked the whisper effect from the old program.

Nihon94, I will give that option a try, but a compatibility screen did not not appear when I tried the first time.

Move back from the microphone.....or sing/speak softer.......or decrease volumn as required on particular track.

I love it when you have options
