Issue with the Effects Rotation/Mirror when exporting to Mpeg-4 UltraH

d_emond wrote on 5/11/2020, 10:00 AM

I realize that as soon that you use the Rotation/Mirror Effect, when i Import a objet(exemple Present Arrow) to the picture or video, the objet resets to the original position and size, I tried with different image object like Text Thought Bubble, after you export in MP4 UltraHD Preset.

One more thing even I select Don’t play out after the export it still plays after the export.

I use Movie Edit Pro Plus 2020.

Here is the steps to recreate the problem.

1)      Import a photo or video in the time line.

2)      Go to Templates and Image Objets.

3)      Import a objet(exemple Present Arrow) to the picture or video.

4)      Go to Effects Size/Position and reduce the size of the Arrow.

5)      Go to Effects Rotation/Mirror and rotate the Arrow in a angle.

6)      Go to File/Export Movie/Video As Mpeg-4.

7)      Choose the Preset [ MP4 UltraHD 3840x2160 29.97p ].

8)      After the export you will see that the Arrow return in to it original position and size.

Welcome to the Magix forums.

I followed the steps in your post carefully, using a .jpg image, added the arrow, resized it, rotated it to produce this on the program screen:

I then exported it to mp4 using the preset you used (the only difference being that mine would be 25fps rather than 29.97fps because I'm in PAL land). The result:

No difference.

Can you attach screenshots to show what you are seeing?

Hi emmrecs thanks for a quick response.

Here is my result.

Before Export to MP4 UltraHD 3840x2160 29.97p

Now after the Export to MP4 UltraHD 3840x2160 29.97p

you see the Arrow is now big and strait.

But i tried to export to your preset MP4 UltraHD 3840x2160 25fps and it is fine, so it got to do with the MP4 UltraHD 3840x2160 29.97p preset.

@d_emond

OK So I repeated my test, this time at 29.97fps, NTSC, results below:

On MEP timeline:

Exported mp4:

No Change!

I think we need to see a screenshot of your actual Export screen; I made no changes to the default.

Hi emmrecs

I did more testing and i found something.

I have a GeForce GT 630 as a graphic card and i activated the Calculate video effects on GPU, i thought it would be better to activate that to save time but this option was giving me that problem. Its when i reset in the MPEG-4 export window that i realize that.

Thank you,

PS: One more thing even I select Don’t play out after the export it still plays after the export.

Hi.

PS: One more thing even I select Don’t play out after the export it still plays after the export.

Yes it does, but only with MPEG-4 export on my system. Always has.

Ray.
