Issues with rendering Lumix g95 4k video

Vegas Pro 19

System:AMD Ryzen 5 260x 6 core processor 3.60ghx

Ram 24 Gb

Video footage is UHD 4k 29fps

So, the issues is I have a video file that is 1 hour and 30 minutes long, I have one audio track. When I attempt to render as internet uhd 2160p 29.97fps, the system take 8 hours, then freezes and the app crashes. If I render as Internet UHD 2160p 29.97 fps (NVENC), it will have a short time of 3 hours, and in the folder that the video is rendering to that show an item with the size of 24 bytes. Does anyone have an ideal on how I can solve this problem with and is there a chart other that helps with rendering?

Hi Jason and welcome to the user to user forums.

A freeze or app crash normally points to either a lack of ram or a lack of free space on the C: drive. Do not attempt to export a file to the C: drive or store the project video files on the C: drive or use an internet cloud storage space such as One drive to store files or render to or read files from. It will not work.

You have no hardware acceleration GPU to use anything involving NVENC so I am surprised the option is not greyed out.

Export times are highly project complexity and hardware dependent so will vary a lot depending on the capability of the machine used.

Another possibility is if the camera is using H265 using a variable frame rate to record. Those files will cause problems for MEP with exports and editing in general. If you have mixed any of those types of files into the project, say from an iPhone or smartphone or from recorded game play, try exporting a project without them to see if that is the problem.

Ray.

Hi Ray,

Despite choosing VPX as his software the OP says he is using Vegas Pro 19.

Hence, this thread will be closed.
