Jon Auvil - Do you mean reinstall Magix Music Maker MX Premium?

Or did you mean to update sound/audio properties in windows? And if so, how do you do that? Or is there somehwhere I could look to see the status of these synths? I used these synths last week and had no problem with them. I believe it was something I did to cause this but I don't know what or how to undo it.  Could this be a VST disconnect problem? Plugin? Or something similiar?

Hi,

It is really bad form to ask a question this way when you have already asked it before and received an answer.  Go to your original question and post a reply and delete this one.

Yeah, this is hard to keep track of, you should always reply to the original message so it can be referenced without a search.

I believe you were having a 'white noise' (static) sound that was created when you used 'Object' synths within the Music Maker. I am not certain what would cause this sort of anomaly so I am just providing basic trouble shooting ideas.

First, I suggest creating a new project, load in a object synth and see if the sound anomaly is there when it is the object synth alone.

If the object synth plays back fine then within the original project the sound device is overloaded when trying to use multiple synths. If the object synth alone in its own project still makes that sound, then I suggest the following.

1. Reinstall the Magix software. This might require you to uninstall, and use the Magix cleaner found on the support page to remove any residual files left over from the initial install.

2. Update any drivers for your hardware. This would really include sound device and graphic device for the PC. Both of these are vital for audio. It might sound strange that the graphics card can cause audio anomalies, but since the graphic card really can control the resources of the system, it is vital that it operates at its best performance. Updating the drivers will help with that performance.

3. Update Windows. This does not mean go out and buy Windows 8. This means visit the Microsoft website and update your version of Windows to its latest release. In addition to that, make sure you have the most up to date release of the Microsoft DirectX that is available for your operating system.

These three things are not specific resolutions to the problem you are having, they are an attempt in repairing any issues that might reside, but overall it is basic troubleshooting.

If this problem persists, you would need to contact Magix Support.
