Latest patch - new Magix support system, Magix Burn Routines 2014 (32/64bit)

Hi,

I just went into the Magix support to look at the latest patch versions. They change the whole thing into a new look and feel, with teething problems. I have a question near the bottom.

There is a mouseover of a few of my latest programs and the latest patch version is incorrect. There is an new screen with all of my programs and the latest patch, if any, is listed in a column to the right. The patch numbers are all probably incorrect. For example, the latest patch version for MEP2014Plus is 13.0.3.14, according to the list. I have 13.0.5.4 installed.

Until they get it right, I don't suggest that anyone download one of these "patches."

Furthermore, they have lost my computer information that I had already registered by running their system detection program. So I ran the new one and my Windows 7 has become Windows NT.

I scolded them for such sloppy work and almost forgot to ask my question.

Below is the new screen of registered products. No personal info here. I thought that they had the serial numbers before. This is a summary. To see the details with serial numbers, you have to click on Personal Data and login again. The serial number information is under My registered products.

Here is another screen for patches for my programs:

Below is the second tab for misc. downloads. Note the second from the top, Magix Burn Routines 2014 (32/64bit). Was this something uses would have or should have updated here, or was it done through other patches, such as the latest patch to MEP2014?

Hi John,

I don't know the answer to your question, but thanks for the heads up. Looks like a dog's dinner ffom your comments.

I've always assumed (naively?) that I get all appropriate patches relevant to MEP xxxx whenever there's a patch announced for MEP xxxx.

Hi

It is even worse then you think - a lot of information is missing eg

  • MEP FAQ - was here - gone

  • MMM FAQ re selling Music created was here - searching for it and other FAQ turn up nothing.

  • VPX FAQ was here - gone

  • My MEP patch is listed as 13.0.1.4 - I am on 13.0.5.4
