Hi.. using MAGIX Movie edit pro Plus Version 17.0.3.177 Have a PC using Window's 7.

Have a clip from a school show that involves the kids as Indians! ..I'm wanting to add some background RAIN effect. Have downloaded some green screen footage of rain from Youtube..but can't seem to get the green screen footage in the back ground! It's driving me mad! Been able to do easily with older versions of MAGIX ..but can't remember exactly how I did it! ..Do I need to set the green screen video of the rain (after having removed the Green Chroma Key ) to background? Hope some of that makes sense! Thanks in advance! Dave ..(this is the what I downloaded ..

Hi

This is what I do:

  1. place the green screen video clip onto a track below the video
  2. apply Video effects, Chromakey, Green
  3. adjust the sliders as necessary to reduce fringing etc.

I'm wanting to add some background RAIN effect.

If you green screen the rain it will be in the foreground using John's technique.

You would need to green screen or mask your subject in front of the rain for the rain to be in the background.

Of course, the rain will be in the foreground, not the background.

To get the rain behind the kids but in front of, say, a landscape background, would be totally something else.
