Lost trust in SF.

I keep wanting to upgrade, but I've paid for the upgrade 3 times in a row and the same bugs persist, I've stopped supporting the software, I would actually prefer they provide a upgrade of good will this time. Been using it since Sound Forge 3 and have upgraded and upgraded. but the loss in trust of the stability of the software and bug fixing has gone to the point everytime I think about it, I get massive anxiety and cancel.

I am still on 16, and I have to say I have no confidence in it, it crashes on basic operations, takes forever to load. I've upgraded with bugs in 14, 15, 16 and wondering why I am paying. I've thrown a lot of business - 3 companies and about 6 licenses from team members, and myself each time I relocate to a new company. At the moment, I've stopped.

Is 18 more stable? Can anyone who has had constant problems with 16 verify that 18 is worth the purchase and is actually stable?

I had a trial version of 18 but didn't use it in the week I had it as I got distracted, now can't even test it. I don't want to take the plunge even on sale - I have a TON of ANXIETY when I think about buying it.

Does anyone else have this issue? How have you got around this anxiety?

@WhyB I mostly use version 12. It's pretty good. Later versions have a lot of problems with plugin integration, especially 15-17. I think version 18 has fixed some of those problems, maybe all.

Simply register a new e-mail address for another SF 18 trial.

Some plugins crash in Sound Forge 18. I think Magix abandoned Sound Forge.

@john_barr As I read it some weeks ago, the Samplitude team was responsible for Sound Forge 12 until version 18. Since they left for Boris FX it now is back again at the Vegas team. I'm not sure if they will do something with it.
