Lost Two Hours of Work Program Didn't Save Automatically

Joshua-Burner wrote on 1/15/2020, 4:00 PM

I don't understand it. I had these settings on. I undoed 9 times to get something back, but even when I didn't do anything, it wouldn't let me restore and that was two hours of work. I tried to upload at backup copies but none were saved even though these are the settings I put on?

I'm really frustrated.

Hi,

You say that there was no automatic back up. Undo and backup are not the same things.

Go to File, Load backup project.

The file format is name_of_project_BAK0.MV_ and there should be some numbered BAK0 to BAK9 and then it starts again. Select the most recent and open it. You can also change the extension to MVP and it will open.

I did. It didn't save, nor did it create backups.

Hi

In addition to @browj2 comment - if you started a new project and worked on it without saving it, then the auto backup file will be in the root of the Project folder, specified in the Program settings (Y key), Folders tab and will be called Autosave.MV_ and there should only be 1 copy.
