@Bob-Whitfield

Hi

We need clarification - on the 'stops processing' - is during capture, exporting or disc creation or what?

What is your computer specification - see this topic for details of what is required and please quote the processor and any graphics card installed make/model in full.

How much free space is on the hard drive(s).

Hi Bob.

The short answer will be you can't stop it happening again which is why you need to answer John's question. Windows updates can only be delayed by up to one month and no further and that that point can no longer be rolled back.

Windows 10 updates sometimes sets some of a persons computer parameters back to the windows default options which unfortunately can interfere with some programs disconnecting some inputs from some programs.

Often they can be reset manually but we need to know which components your computer has to advise you what to do.

On the other hand it may not be due to a Windows update at all but being caused by thermal throttling or a different issue. At present we can only guess at the causes of your problems and may never get to the bottom of the problem without further information.

Ray.

Hi

In addition to @CubeAce comment - 'processing' could mean anything when it comes to computers - you need to be precise in the terms you use.

I gave three possible options and an 'or what' expecting a more detailed explanation of what MEP was doing when it crashes if it was not doing any of the 3 options.

As Ray has commented without more precise information it is difficult for us to help you.

. . . .   it was the undate . . . .

Not necessarily - the update may have been waiting for a full restart of the computer which the roll back has 'in principle' done.

BTW - did you get your previous question issue resolved?
