had bought magix movie edit pro 2020 plus (windows store edition) last week and had activated and registered it on 25th august 20 How can i update to 2021 version, when i go to the store and add it to cart it is asking for 59$ for upgrade with proDAD Mercalli V5 Suite (2-year license) and there is no option to get the 2021 version alone.
Also got a discount code on registering it but am unable to use it either on producer planet or on magix.com

Not sure what you mean by (windows store edition). If you are entitled to an update (some cheaper offers from third party websites do not enable update entitlements) the update would not include any additional plug-ins offered on the new version (you only get the new version of the program and any plug-ins you originally had). Then just open MEP and go to Help ? Check for Updates. It should load from there.

MEP Plus is available from the Microsoft Store, where it is listed as the "Windows Store Edition", currently £29.69. Unfortunately the information on the store page gives no indication of whether the Update Service is included but I would agree with you that the add-ons to the 2021 version are not going to be available to @MANJAD without additional payment.

Duly noted and thought it may be a different shopping area. It looks as if it's cheaper because of the lack of third party effects bundles. So an upgrade would be needed, not an update for the additional effects. The vouchers are normally only for low value items such as screen fades or some title effects.

To answer his question, for me I had to go to Help, and then "Update Online." MEP did not offer me an update. Nor do I see a "patch" for the update on this Magix site.
on my copy no such option exists, although the help file mentions it, also checked the help file of the trial version which mentioned the option to update.
Interesting. That's where it would be if it were there. Perhaps, as Jeff said, part of the low price you paid does not include a year of updates.

got it for a very good price so no regrets, using it for short clips and then joining them in vegas studio 16 if the video is longer for faster render times

Unfortunately the Windows Store versions do not have some updateservice or something else.
In your case you will have to order the software again.
