Question

Can anyone explain how I obtain "What You Hear" sound for screen recording?

What I have Tried

I have selected "Screen Recording" feature, and quality - MXV - PAL

I have tried un-checking and re-checking the "show" boxes indicated but nothing changes: Image 1

Tried the various Audio Drivers :- Image 2

Any advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like you are missing a driver.

I would suggest to go to the web site for the sound card you have in the computer and download the latest driver.

Just go to the Device Manager, expand sound, and you wil see the sound card.

In my Case I have Realtek high Definition Audio,

After installing, what I needed to do is choose stereo mix. But by default it was not activated.

To activate, right click on the volume icon on the taskbar, then choose recording devices.

Find stereo mix and right click it and choose activate.

I hope it works out for you,

Hello Johnny

Got it sorted it was the driver.

It's a Vista issue!

Vista doesn't support " Stereo Mix"

Here's a brilliant article explaining all and some other interesting stuff ( Virtual Cable).
