MAGIX Video deluxe 2026 Premium MPEG_4 Activation problems

PETER-SMITH1397 wrote on 8/19/2025, 6:17 PM

Hi Guys,

Downloaded and Activated MAGIX Video deluxe 2026 Premium but can't get the MPEG_4 Activation to work.

I have followed Magix's directions to deleting the corrupt Magix registry.

I downloaded Registrar Registry Manager Free Home Edition but for some reason the program will not activate on my PC even opening as Administrator and I don't know how to open it. Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{7DC6E619-5C35-4371-9D2A-9CF021CB55D1}

Can you recommend another registry editor that I can use or a secret to open the program.

This is my last ditch with Magix I have been waiting six weeks to use the software that has other issues but heard nothing from support. Sony would never ever been like this to their customers.

PC Details

Processor: Intel Core Ultra 7 265 (3.90)

Windows 11

RAM: Kingston Fury Beasy 2 x 16

Sound Card: NVIDA high definition sound card

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060

Kind Regards

Peter

Hi @PETER-SMITH1397,

I'm not sure what Magix Support has instructed you but if they told you to delete a registry key, Windows comes with its own Registry Editor which you can use to delete the specific key. Before editing the Registry, you should always make a backup so that you can restore your original settings if you mess up.

If you are not familiar with the Registry, there are tons of Youtube tutorials you can watch. Here is one for example but you may find even better tutorials.

For this task I don't think you need an external program like Registrar Registry Manager Free Home Edition.

Cheers, and good luck!

Hi Can-Dive, Thanks for your reply.

When you go into send a support ticket they say the Registry Key is probably corrupt but you can,t delete it with the windows registry editor. I tried to export it and also with administrator rights to no effect.I did try the editor first but it would allow me to delete it. They say download Registrar Registry Manager Free Home Edition and this will delete the registry key. I actually used this method a few years ago when I purchased an older version of Magix Movie Studio Suite and it worked. Now Registry Manager Free Home Edition downloads OK but won't open. I think I will have to give Magix a miss and try another platform for editing software. There is no support at all, Sony would be rolling in their grave.

Thanks For Your Help

Cheers.
