Maker 2013, can you change mouse scroll action from Vertical to Horizontal.

This, has to be the single most infuriating thing they have changed and I cannot fathom the reasoning behind it.

The Scroll wheel on my mouse used to act as a very handy way to go back and forth through the sequncer layout in a horisontal movement, now in the 2013 version its been changed to a Vertical movement, which is awful, is their a way to change it back?

Getting back to trying to use it, it gets worse, on the 2012 version you could hold down the Ctrol button and use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out horizontally, now that been replaced with a utterly useless vertical zooming, who the hell is paid to come up with this kind of stupidity!

Hi

First - the comments at the end of your post are unnecessary.

Have you checked if there is an option in MMM 2013 for changing the scroll direction?

The fact that the mouse now scrolls vertically brings the software into line with a lot of other programs from many manufacturers - the wheel on a single wheel mouse is designed for vertical scrolling.

Check the Windows settings for your mouse, you may find that you can change the scroll direction and the actions of combined button press and wheel movement , however this will affect all programs.

Alternatively replace your mouse with a two wheel horizontal and vertical scrolling version

Is this a joke, I have used Music maker for over 10 years no, usually buying each yearly update, it has ALWAYS had the scroll wheel operation that when used on the arranger it scrolled the track sideways, ALWAYS, this is the first to have chnage it back to front and use a vertical scroll, which is of NO use what-so-ever.

Also the Ctrl+scroll function has been removed ( universal command in most programmes) in doing this means productivity is way down in what I can get done.

I think my comments a perfectly valid considering after all this time they suddenly remove the one very handy user interface, it shows a complete lack that the makers not using the system.

Check my Windows settings for mouse?..replace my mouse? is this seriously the best we can expect?

I'm going to replace my £80 Performance MX Logitech mouse the has side scrollong ( that doesnt work with this programme), and is working as per usual with everything else on my PC including Maker 2012,

REALLY?

Hi

This is a user forum not Magix support.

Based on the initial information given the response was valid - see this post

With the information you have now supplied the answer would have been different, ie you need to contact Magix support.
