I go to the map through Wizard and the map ask about discontinuing script..then, passing on, the map just shows the loading circle over and over forever.
The old Travel Route Animation (TRA) software stopped working a while ago due to changes with the map supplier and is no longer supported.
TRA has been replaced by Travel Maps, however there is (AFAIK) no independent download available, it is bundled with software.
The only solution would be to upgrade Movie Edit Pro to a newer version which has Travel Maps, however that raises another issue - Magix no longer support products on Windows 7, as it is no longer supported by Microsoft, since January this year.
. . . . As a last resort you could try Windows comparability mode and select Win 98 and see if that works . . . .
Unfortunately the issue with TRA is not related to the Windows compatibility version - the map provider have changed their method of connection which TRA does not understand hence the error message the OP is having - the connection script in TRA is looking for something that no longer exists.
I see Vasco da Gama 9 is available in the support2.magix customer area>miscellaneous downloads - do you think this would work with MEP2013 or just as a standalone program?
Vasco da Gama is a standalone program. I noticed that some of the versions came with some kind of a security link to MEP, which caused issues when upgrading MEP (since resolved). It came with some of the Premium versions of MEP.
I also see VdG9 there, but don't know if it requires a serial number to get it to work (I suspect that it does), or if it works on Windows 7. Did you try installing it?
I have VdG 12 Pro, so I'm not going to try with the older version.
VdG9 HD is already on my PC installed with an earlier version of MEP but it opens with an error so I will not be trying it, and I have VdG11 installed from a later MEP installation which does work. There is a patch of some sort for VdG9 in the download area also if @jack-scurlock would like to try it.
I also am unsure if that download needs a serial to use as a standalone hence my earlier question to others.
