Mask button in effects random behavior

Hi,

anyone else seeing weird behavior with the mask button next to an effect in the keyframing window?

It is supposed to turn red if the mask is enabled - what I see is it randomly either turns red or not when clicked(most of the times it just stays white). Thankfully, it does not seem to affect the function (the mask is toggled) and even the mouse hover popup shows the correct state.

However, it is quite useful to see right away which effects are masked. I also have an older version of Video Pro X and there it seems to work correctly.

Anyone else seeing this (in MEP 2021)?

I see the problem - it requires a very precise length of click to toggle the mask on/off it could be a bug, hold the mouse button down too long and it toggles back to the original setting (off) , not long enough and it does not toggle on.
