I haven't done very much with the 2014 trial version, but I wanted to share these opinions (note that I didn't use MEP 2013, so some of these might not be new to those who were using it):

Very much like:  The text size in dialog boxes and other areas is LARGER!  YAY!!      This is much easier on my eyes.  This alone is probably worth the upgrade for me..... IF they fix the BUG in the Audio Cleaning window (which I reported in a separate post).

Very much don't like:  The ugly green background color on the timeline.  I know I can manually change it.  It would be nice to have an option to select the the default color.

Disappointed:  With the few things I've done, like loading a project, I haven't seen an increase in speed.  I'm not sure about exporting --- mpg2 seems about the same; mxv seems a bit slower; mp4 seems slower.... but....

Like:  the new dialog box while exporting, and the ability pause and to view the view during the process.  That's COOL!!'' 

Don't know why an exported MP4 doesn't auto load/play, as do other formats.

Like:  the MP4 codec is included.... not necessary to d/l it separately.
